APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE CARRBORO POETS COUNCIL

Purpose:

This application is for individuals interested in applying to serve on the volunteer Carrboro Poets Council that supports poetry within the Town of Carrboro.

The Poets Council consists of up to ten (10) members who apply for consideration from the current Poets Council members. Applications are reviewed and recommendations for official appointment are made by the Poets Council to the Recreation, Parks & Cultural Resources Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will make the final decision on appointments to the Carrboro Poets Council.

The Carrboro Poets Council and/or the Advisory Board may wish to speak with applicants during the selection process.

Eligibility:

Applications are open to anyone in the community, but local poets will be given priority consideration.

Additionally, residents for Carrboro and Orange County will be given priority during the selection process.
